Scott and Mia sailed from Seattle aboard Holland America's Westerdam on 28 September 2025, bound for Japan by sea. After a stop in Juneau, the ship spent most of the crossing at sea in the North Pacific, losing a calendar day at the International Date Line.
Japan began at Kushiro on Hokkaido, followed by Aomori at the northern tip of Honshu, and the voyage ended in Yokohama on 12 October.
